Intern Cutscene Designer

Educational Background

Major in  art / cinema / animation / video game development or equivalent.

Responsibilities
  • Create compelling dialogue-based cut scenes with excellent camera, pacing, timing and actors set up (using in-house cutscene tools).
  • Communicate and work closely with Scriptwriting team and Game Designers to translate scripted scenes into cinematics and to balance story with gameplay.
  • Collaborate with Art department in developing new artworks & special FX to achieve the best quality cutscenes in the game.
  • Collaborate with Programming team to improve the efficiency and quality of in-house cutscene tools.
  • Follow and maintain pipelines and technical requirements.
  • Balance quality with efficiency when working under tight deadlines.
  • Validate the cinematics to ensure that the integrations did not cause any conflicts with the rest of the game.
  • Perform any other related tasks.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Good knowledge of cinematography and have a strong sense of timing and pacing.
  • Quick to adapt to company proprietary tools.
  • Aware of new technologies and processes related to the industry.
  • Experienced in modding games is a plus.
  • Experience in using Unity3d engine is a plus.
Soft Skills
  • Fluent of spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication skills and abilities to work efficiently within a team.
  • Ability to work with people from other fields of expertise.
  • Well Organized.
